It's been 2 days and I still haven't figured it out yet. Tried deck="left" or chan="left", same for the right. Even used panels, and visible elements

I forgot about this. One last question. I'm still confused how does chanX_left and chanX_right work since most of the skin makers use chanX and chanX_active. Might be helpful in fixing the rhythm in the VDJ7 6 decks skin

Another addition for skin developers, you can add
debug drawing to a custom button, and set experimentalSkinEngine to yes in options.
When activating the button, you will see in red the areas of the skin being updated.
If the area that turns red is bigger than the button or text that is changing, it might indicate that there's some overlapping elements in your skin (a text with too much width or height for example)
Minimizing this areas will improve the performance and cpu...

Any skin works with any controller. Any controller works with any skin. All skins are "mapped".

It's not necessary to have a skin that looks like your controller. Look at Rekordbox, Traktor, Serato etc. The GUI is fixed. They cannot be skinned at all.

The ideal is to have a skin that only shows what's NOT on the controller, as you have physical versions of all the knobs & buttons, so they don't need to take up screen space.

1) In earlier versions, I could freely assign the deck layers at the top and bottom of the SC6000 display. Now I can only select the deck at the top, but no longer at the bottom of the display. There I can only select "Controller Deck+Master" or "other Deck". No matter what I choose, the display does not switch to 4 deck mode, even though I have selected this mode in VDJ. The problem is independent of the loaded skin. I have tried it with DennYo Controller Skin and with the skin from Orange...

I'm using a Prime 4, and IMO the layout of info in the decks could be improved. They're gradually decreasing the size of the deck area in favour of bigger scrolling waveforms, and because everthing's being squeezed in to a small space, certain things take a hit.

The artist and title info is given less than half the width of each deck, because they stuck BPM, key, track time and cover art on the same line. IMO all the numerical stuff should be on a line below.
